We had a splendid day together on 1 September, with some great performances and conversations. This community textile project commemorates victims of wars in the century since World War One by inviting anyone to make unique textile poppies in honour of particular victims. About 50 Quaker groups and many other people made around 4,000 poppies for a mass installation at Friends House which is on show until 21 December . Poppies
This is an exciting new project getting established under the auspices of QAN, which is offering singing workshops and performances to Friends around the country (see EVENTS), and starting to plan for larger events in future.
