August 10, 2019 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Free

Talk by Jon Lovett, chair of Global Challenges at Leeds University, discussing the importance of Quaker Kenneth E Boulding’s influential essay published in 1966, contrasting ‘cowboy’ with ‘spaceman’ economics. The talk will also provide a background to Boulding’s life and Quaker faith.
This is the second in a series of three talks by Professor Lovett, offered as part of Swarthmoor Hall’s ‘Seeking Routes’ summer art exhibition, organised in collaboration with Quaker Arts Network.
