Online Creative Writing Workshop
July 17, 2021 @ 11:00 am - 3:00 pm
£40.00Explore the journeys of Cumbria’s rivers, becks and gills, from their source in the high fells to the sea, accompanied by local writer Geraldine Green.
11am to 3pm – Join us online at this creative writing workshop, led by Geraldine, our tutor and writer-in-residence. You’ll delve into stories of these incredible waterways to inspire your own writing.
There will be lovely prompts to guide your writing from stunning images, provided by Cumbria Wildlife Trust, to a storytelling session about the Quaker Tapestry panels.
You don’t need any experience and you can choose to write in any genre: poetry, prose, letters or a journal. For those who’ve written before, this is an opportunity to discover a new source of inspiration and refresh your skills. There’s also an invitation to share what you’ve written if you wish, during the session with the group and tutor. We’ll be in touch by email before the workshop with any handouts that you might want to read in advance of the session.
