Poetry Readings, with tea and cake – in Kendal
November 30, 2019 @ 2:30 pm - 4:30 pm
£3.00Join us as we come together to share an unmissable afternoon of poetry readings, yarns and stories from our first run of creative writing workshops, ‘The Fabric of Kendal’. Led by our Writer in Residence, Geraldine Green, we will be hearing from the workshop participants and those who have been creatively inspired by the Quaker Tapestry ‘stories behind the stitches’. Readings of poems written from Brigflatts and Swarthmoor Hall will also be woven throughout the afternoon.
Tea and cake are included in the ticket price. This event is open to anyone who would like to come and listen to this new work.
With each yarn and stitch a story is told, of the sheep, the embroiderers and the lives of those depicted.
Quaker Tapestry Museum project ‘The Fabric of Kendal’, is kindly supported by Kendal Town Council and The Leaveners
