Loving The Questions
February 13, 2021 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am
£40‘Loving the Questions’ Online Retreat:
An online retreat day, using poetry and mindfulness to explore living with uncertainty. (Sat 13th Feb)
In his letters to a young poet, Rainer Maria Rilke writes:
“Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves, like locked rooms and like books that are now written in a very foreign tongue. Do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given you because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps you will then gradually, without noticing it, live along some distant day into the answer.”
This covid crisis leaves many of us travelling through lands of deep uncertainty, where much seems insecure and many questions remain unresolved. During this online retreat day, we will use poetry and mindfulness to explore together how we can better come to love and live the questions that this present moment is presenting us with, to find creative ways to live “some distant day into the answers”.
The retreat will include three guided meditation, reflection and sharing sessions, at 10am (for 1.5 hours), at 2pm (for 2 hours) and at 7pm (for 1.5 hour).
There are 6 places available. The suggested donation is £40, but if you can’t afford to donate anything, please do not let that stop you attending. If you would like to book a place, please email sjdonaldson@hotmail.co.uk
