Creativity through the arts, a Quaker Universalist Group conference at Woodbrooke 12-14 May, 2023.

The Quaker Universalist Group’s conference this year is on the theme: Universalism and Creativity: how creativity expresses and enhances spirituality across the world. We will treat our theme from a universalist point of view, with input based on the principle that spiritual awareness can come from any or no religion. One speaker will give a general introduction to art and spirituality. Others will reference the visual arts in a variety of contexts, including the spirituality of colour with reference to Tibetan Buddhism; Daoism and more. One speaker will talk about poetry and spirituality across the world.

The Quaker Universalist Group  hopes to have all the details about the conference on its website by December, and members of QAN are welcome to attend the conference. Their website qug.org.uk gives lots more information about QUG, and includes talks given at earlier conferences.

The conference will be in person at Woodbrooke and online (blended). Advance registration and payment will be essential.
